is a 2D platform, stealth, puzzle game.
The game is level based and every level is a composition of several revisitable rooms. The player's goal in each level is to achieve an objective, getting through the puzzles lying in the rooms that separates his/her current room from the one where the objective can be achieved. Also, objectives can be composite, consisting of two or three sub-objectives. Furthermore, every level has a special puzzle room, that is the equivalent of a boss fight.
Laika 2.0 comes with only one difficulty mode, as every level is made to be harder than the previous one.
The Laika project was a secret maneuver by the USSR to create an animal special agent. The first experiment involved a canine subject, because who the hell has ever seen a dog stealing secret documents from other countries!?
This is why Laika1.0 was born. Sadly on her first mission, the lack of opposite thumb forced her to grab the blueprints with her mouth, drooling all over the documents and making them unreadable. The puppy was disposed of into space, that seemed to be the end of the operation.
But the project moved forward on the second step, this time the scientists had learnt from their mistakes and proceeded with experiments on a subject chimpanzee. Laika 2.0 was created in a matter of months after the previous failure and instantly underwent a very harsh training program. The chimpanzee very quickly proved herself a very valid agent shocking her creators by developing a peculiar form of telekinesis.
In September 1959 in Suez, Egypt, a group of military rebels armed by the People's Republic of China tried a golpe, occupying it and imposing the soviet flag. The USSR knew that would have lured the attention of the whole world on them, so a special agent was sent to retrieve any crucial information that would clear the USSR by the golpe.

Laika 2.0 is developed by Studio Albatros.
The game was born in the context of university project of a joint course of Politecnico di Milano and Università degli studi di Milano with the collaboration of Accademia delle arti di Brera. Studio Albatros was thus initially formed by 4 students and during a year developed into a team of 8 professionals with skills that encompass game design, programming, graphic design and sound design.
We started developing this game for the love of it, and we hope we can transmit that same passion to you, our players.
