Arizona Returns for an Even Greater Adventure!
In this sequel to the successful Arizona Rose and the Pirates' Riddles, you'll join our eponymous heroine on a new quest which will take her to new and ever more exotic places, with stakes that are higher than ever before. Once a humble antique collector, Arizona's first adventure established her as a world-class code cracker and treasure hunter. Now, a phone call from a stranger has her traveling to Egypt, and a newly unearthed temple with strange engravings. Even larger in scope than the original, Arizona Rose and the Pharaoh's Riddles offers 170 levels, hours of entertainment, and a storyline filled with intrigue and mystery, the likes of which you've never seen before in a logic puzzle game.
A mystery for the ages
Arriving in Egypt, Arizona is shocked to discover that the cryptic engravings in the temple employ a code very similar to the one she encountered on the hunt for Blackbeard's treasure. What possible connection could there be between an 18th-century pirate and a civilisation which disappeared nearly two millennia before? That question sets Arizona, and her new companion Peter, an archaeologist, on a journey that will take them further, and prove more consequential, than either could imagine.
Japanese-inspired puzzle gameplay
The core gameplay is based on the popular logic puzzle originally invented by Japan's Non Ishida, and now known by various names including "picross," "nonogram," "pic-a-pix" or "paint by numbers." Your mission is to determine what cells to fill in on a grid in order to produce an image, while hints are provided in the form of numbers around the perimeter. The numbers correspond to consecutive blocks of filled-in cells in their row or column; it's up to you flex your mental muscles and use logic to figure out how those blocks must be positioned to match both the rows and columns. Sounds easy? Well, give it a try!
A journey of logic and discovery
As the game progresses and Arizona and Peter find themselves embroiled in a conspiracy spanning all of recorded history, the puzzles she faces become larger and more challenging. You'll need to develop your own picross skills to help her tackle these ever-greater challenges, but you'll have some help along the way. As the pair unearth the secrets of ancient civiilzations, they discover the tools to enable them to forge onwards. Various engaging mini-games break up the addictive picross action, and will reward you with power-ups to help you out when you get stuck.

The original Arizona Rose and the Pirates' Riddles was a big success for Anawiki. One of the things our fans told us they enjoyed about it was the main character and the unfolding storyline of her adventures. Based on that feedback, our goal for the sequel was to keep the same core gameplay, but focus even more attention on developing the characters and backstory, and providing more variety and smoother integration of the minigames. As a result, Arizona Rose and the Pharaohs' Riddles has been received even more positively than the original.
If you like puzzle games but find them lacking in variety and story, this is the game for you. Arizona Rose and the Pharaohs' Riddles is a solid puzzle game at its core, but is much more than just that, on account of its great writing, beautiful graphics, and varied gameplay.
