"An incredible game, unassuming in its brilliance."

Cave Escape is an infinite runner game with RPG story elements. Play as Escapist, a little green ninja with three legs trying to survive in a relentless cave constantly scrolling towards oblivion.

The main gameplay revolves around running through a cave with your trusty grappling hook; avoiding stalagmites, fireballs, and crumbling platforms while spelunking for a high score. In story mode, meet an interesting cast of characters that will help you escape from the cave if you can complete their quests. The original Cave Escape was released in 2004 and has been periodically updated throughout the years.

The Steam version will expand on the 2013 mobile release ~ Cave Escape: New Beginnings. This release brought the story elements such as questing, dialogue, NPC characters, and fishing. However, I felt the gameplay is more deserving of a mouse and keyboard so I'm bringing the game back to PC with some updates such as an expansion of the story, polish, and pixel artwork.

I first made Cave Escape when I was 13 years old in 2004 and shared it online and with my friends. The simple, addicting gameplay and difficulty made it popular with both groups. The game I am uploading to Steam Greenlight is based largely on Cave Escape: New Beginnings, although I plan to introduce new content into the Story Mode before the official release. The infinite mode, the simple runner type gameplay of the original, will likely remain unchanged.

I plan to add more NPCs, and new world besides the classic cave such as an Ice Cave, Space Cave, and other types of caves with unique obstacles.
