The game is built around edge cases, nearly all things can act in surprising ways.
No respawns. The machine god will stop you at all costs.
Synthetik is as rewarding as it is unforgiving.
Deep and rewarding gunplay is at the heart of the game:
- Complex modeled movement based recoil system
magazines / bullets before reloading
- Left bullets in magazines are realistically discarded
- You can time your reload for faster execution and other boni
- Each weapon can be found in one of 15+ different Variants
- Each weapon can be found with one of 3+ different ammo types
- Weapons can be upgraded
three times in 10 categories each!
Each weapon variant changes from stats to burst patterns, even sounds! (Indicated in green). Weapons feel different each time you acquire them! You can also further upgrade your favorite weapons with the upgrade kits you find.
You will find many usable items, ranging from health vials and steroids, unidentified potions with unknown effects, to grenades, drones that shoot down bullets mid flight or passives that trigger on special actions.
The special clue is that items can be increased in power by sharing your experience data with them. You will have 3 slots for items to accumulate power with you, so it's up to you which one you continuously level. This also gives items different roles and priorities each time you play.
There are many other elements to the game, such as the shrines of the machine god, the terminals with many special events (picture), the memory module system, the raising terror level and much more, but we don't want to spoil everything right now!

So here we are. Synthetik is mainly made by 2 People, Eric "Shrike" and Alex. We have spent around 1.5 years on the Game so far and we are really curious to hear what you think about it! (Shoutout to all the outside help!)
